MEASURED BUILDING SURVEYS

Benchmark Surveys will undertake a complete building survey to include, a topographic survey of the building footprint and its location, Utility survey, floor plans, sections and elevations or any combination of these elements to suit the clients requirements.

Buildings can be very irregular in shape, especially historic buildings that will have been altered over many years and constructed using various methods and materials.

Using our Trimble X7 & TX6 3D laser scanners, reflector-less survey instrument technology and traditional disto and tape methods, the shape of the building can be accurately measured with ease.

Roof details, chimneys and other difficult to access details can be easily and safely recorded using various survey instruments and our drone. Intricate roof detailing and trusses can also be measured as long as a clear line of site is available.

Benchmark Surveys uses 3D laser scanning to produce Point Clouds, 3D models and accurate elevations for Engineers, Architects, Planners, Developers and Contractors. We can also produce floor plans and sections using this method.

Using the laser scanner we can get upto 2mm point precision in Laser Survey projects.

3D Point Cloud Capture

Highly accurate point cloud capture combining both our UAV point cloud technology with our Trimble TX6 Laser scanner for upto 2mm point precision.

Geo-located Point Clouds

Using Ground Control Points in conjunction with our Trimble R10 GPS system enables correctly geo-referenced projects for streamlining further use of the captured Point Cloud.

3D Meshes

Using the drone technology you can create geo-referenced 3D meshes which can let you investigate areas by navigating around the scanned building, don't be restrained by the singular angles of photographs or videos.

Model Verification

3D scanning "as built" structures and draping the 3D Point Cloud over the original 3D design model for comparison of positional accuracy.

BIM or Building Information Modelling is a process for creating and managing information on a project across the project lifecycle.

BUILDING ELEVATIONS

CAD drawn elevations from Orthographic images created from the 3D pointcloud. 3D Laser Survey points are accurate upto 2mm.

3D Laser Surveys Allow us to create correctly scaled image slices of building elevations, in high resolution formats. Autocad is then used for creating linework.

FLOOR PLANS, CEILING PLANS, ROOF PLANS & SECTIONS
